changing the actuator didn't work for me. so I left it connected but not installed. I started the car..turned the white round **** until the air was blowing out of the vents and buttoned it up. I will do the same when winter comes.

Fantastic write up, all of my HVAC mode work as designed but I do get the occasional clicking from the passengers side so I guess I will follow these instructions and see if I can see anything.

4 actuators total, 2 of them are temperature actuators, right and left as you said. The left (driver) one is easy to replace, the right (passenger) one requires removing the dash.
