Default NPP Low Down ????

Hi

So far l am having no luck finding a Corsa Sport exhaust for my 07 A6 so l might have to try another way to go.

How difficult is it to go the NPP route? I would like to hit a button to turn the exhaust from normal to aggressive without drilling anything that can be seen .

Also what would you guess on the $.

Thanks

Alan

Finding NPP or Z06 bi-mode mufflers is probably the hardest part. Speaking very generally, used NPP mufflers run about twice as much as Z06 mufflers.....but most people prefer the sound of the NPP's so that probably contributes to the cost difference. I'm guessing used Z06 mufflers will be in the neighborhood of $300-$400, maybe less, while the NPP's will be upwards of $650+. I've seen NPP's close to $1000 for 2012-2013 models.

Then you will need a retrofit kit for vacuum control. People seem to be gravitating to the Sunset Orange Creations models as they offer the most options. I think it's around $175 or so.

I went from Corsa Sport to NPP. I liked my corsa, no drone, but the constant noise got old. NPP is perfect.

there was a set of npp in the classifieds a few days ago for less than $600. search it regularly and you'll find a set for a good price. don't settle for corsa...they sound good but npp if the way to go. plus..if you don't like npp they will sell easily. good luck!

if remotely, you mean with a controller, yes. there are vendors that have small controllers to open and close the valve whenever u want

Kingman, I just put NPP mufflers on my 2011 A6. I posted a WTB thread in the aera that I live and within a week I had my NPP mufflers. The seller said he didn't advertise them because he didn't want to mess with the shipping,I was able to pick them up. I bought my controller from Sunset Orange and got a fob and added an option to open and close the valves from my visor button. The NPP cost $500 and the controller was $285. So for less than $800 bucks I got the best of both worlds.
Keep searching.

Default Quick question...

I have a '11 grand sport with NPP and I want to know how much better will the ZO6 NPP is then the LS3 NPP, reason is I plan to top 550 WHP with this engine.

I will be getting either the 2.75 or the 3" X pipe.

I know the ZO6 3" pipe has a turn down to 2.500 inch as it goes into the muffler then resumes at 3" inside, any thoughts thanks, David.

It's not any better. You won't gain anything.

Thanks man for the money saving answer I believe you are rite too.

I looked in to the muffler and is kind of clear inside across the pipe.
