Just bought a new front transverse spring for my C6. Any simple destructions on how to install it? ie: Remove front wheels, so front suspension is completely relaxed and then...WHAT??

Take the wheels off, disconnect the lower ball joint on one side, remove the 4 bolts that hold it in and the lower sway bar links. Reverse to install.
Any tension on the lower ball joint I have to be concerned with?
Sounds hard! <<GRIN>> Takes what, an hour to do??
Thanks!!
MC
use a floor jack to support and lower the A arm and spring.yes it is under quite a load, then use the jack to raise the ball joint/ A arm back into place

Is an alignment called for after the spring replace?

Exactly, I only removed it to put coilovers on, but I don't recall tension being a big issue like is with a front or strut coil spring.
I did front sway bars, alignment kit and coilover in about 2 hours. My bet is you could do it in an hour or so with the proper tools.
I have lift and such in my garage, but you are a little far to come over and do it.

Welp..gonna find out...won't be the first spring (Never a transverse mounted front spring nor on a Corvette) or suspension I have torn apart. Only worked as a line wrench for 30 plus years!
Unfortunately, I sold my lift, as I am no longer restoring old cars and didn't feel I needed it...but..I can work off the floor. Won't be the first time I have done that either! LOL.
probably not if it was ok before and you do not change the ride height much.
Not going to monkey with the ride..too low already...scrap the holy hell out of the air dam going in and out of my driveway, even entering and leaving at a severe angle!
