I've decided on Kooks 1 7/8" LT's & the Kooks X-pipe for my 2013 GS. The only thing holding me back are getting the 'funds' together. It will be kind of a big purchase for all at one time. When I buy the Headers & X-pipe, I want to get the 3" Zo6 X-pipe instead of the 2.5" X-pipe. When I get the Zo6 X-pipe, I will also get a set of B&B Gen 5 Fusion mufflers. That way the X-pipe will be a full 3". So, w/the LT's, X-pipe, Ceramic coating on the pipes, Fusion Gen 5 mufflers, Spark plugs, wires, installation & tuning, it will probably be in the ballpark of around $4k-or so...I'm wondering how I should break the news to my wife-lol Gently I would think?

Meh just save a few more grand on the side and throw a supercharger on it instead
I wanted to know more about the Fusion Gen 5 compared to the Gen 3, even got two separate quotes from Maryland Speed with the Gen 5 costing more.
However, when I called B&B to inquire about the differences, the tech told me Fusion Gen "5" doesn't exist and that Maryland Speed was wrong, probably thinking of Gen 3 vs. Gen 2 instead.

1. I was thinking about installing headers on my own car. I read that ARH are the easiest to install and fit perfect without any mods. I heard with some fitment adjustments LG's are a close 2nd and Kooks are a pain in the ***. Don't know how much of it's true but that's what I've read. Bear in mind this would be in my garage and no access to a lift. How much of a pain in the *** is it to do this mod yourself? What are your thoughts on which brand header. Who has what and what increase in rwhp did you get?
I have LG Pro long tubes. Easy bolt on as me and a friend did it in a garage on a quick lift. If you get the car high enough on stands you should be OK. I don't know rwhp increase because I supercharged it a month later.
2. I just bought my first two mods which I will install as soon as this f-ing snow melts (Yes my Vette is in the garage that is buried under all that snow). Lingenfelter CAI and B&B Bullets axle back exhaust. I want to put headers on but not sure what size to go with. I am saving for my ECS supercharger so that will be late in the year or next year. So with that thought in mind, 1 3/4" or 1 7/8"?
If you plan to supercharge it, go with 1 7/8.
3. Do I go with a catted x-pipe or cats delete??
I have a catted x-pipe.
4. If I decide to have someone else install the headers, do you think it would be ok to drive the car home from the shop (about 15 miles to home) or will that throw a check engine light/code? Once the car is home, I am going to send my PCM out to ECS to have them throw a tune on it.
No problem driving it home. I went 2 weeks before the CEL came on and then just had it tuned to go away.
I installed the LG super pros on my car on jack stands in garage. The passenger side was a really tight fit and took me awhile to get it in there but it went. When I had cam installed a week later, the shop said the header was rubbing the car and it had to be trimmed because it was setting knock sensor off. Other than that they fit well
