Default 17" wheel fitment help

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some help to see if a new set of wheels might fit on the rear of my C6 Base Z51. Right now I am currently running a 17x8.5" wheel with a +56mm offset (C5 front wagon wheels). I'm looking at swtiching to the following:

http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/...k#.VNUCqJ3F-zY

The link above shows that they are 17x9.5 +56mm offset. If i understand how the offset works correctly, since they are the same offset, the fact that the new rim is 1" wider, it will sit 1" deeper into the fender. Is that correct? Anyone had any experience in running a similar wheel? I know they are aftermarket and not as lightweight as the 17x8.5 that I am currently running, but I would like for my fronts to match the rears.

Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

that offset should stick out further you need a 65 mm with a 9.5 rim

Do you think there would be any issues with it rubbing against the inner part of the fender wheel well?

Wish I could find a 17x9.5" 65mm in a C6Z rim.

I built autocross wheels from 17x9.5 56 mm wheels. The outside clearance is flush and to the inside I added two inches. The resulting 17x11.5 wheel fits under the base fenders with 335x35 tires. You'll have no issues to the inside with these wheels. Depending on the tire you run they may rub on the fender.

The 56 mm offset indicates the location of the centerline of the wheel relative to the hub. Moving from an 8.5 to a 9.5 will keep the same centerline except the wheel is a half inch wider front and rear.

I run the exact wheel with 295/40/17 MT on my base 2005 without any rubbing. wheel is flush with outer wheel well. About 1/2 inch clearance on inside.
