Default C6 Exhaust - NPP

Just got a C6 vert and looking to upgrade from stock exhaust. Looking to possibly add the Z06 NPP exhaust with "mild to wild" function. Any pros or cons? My wife is not a big fan of loud exhaust systems so looking for something that's adjustable. Thoughts?

Took my NPP off and put on Magnaflows. Yeah a lot noisier but also 30 lbs less weight. I have the mild to wild key fob thing for sale if you go that route.

I have a 2011 GS Coupe with the NPP option. I put on the toggle switch from Mid America Corvette and I really like it. The NPP is plenty noisy when open and I can quiet it down whenever I like with the switch. Really the best of both worlds as the drone with the exhaust open gets tiresome at moderate speeds around town or on the highway. Best of all my wife does not complain when she is with me!

There's a difference between the Z06 and NPP exhaust systems, so don't confuse the two by saying Z06 NPP.

The MY of your C6 makes a difference also, since the pipes are not all the same for all years for the NPP. '08 NPP is a bolt-on to '05-'08, but '09 and up NPP only bolt on to '09 and up.

You can weld any year Z06 muffler or NPP muffler on to your current C6 over-the-axle pipe.

Knowing more about what you have and how you choose to approach the result is required information.

Currently have stock C6 exhaust. Looking for a little more sound from the exhaust. Question: Why are some people selling only one side of the Npp exhaust on Ebay/CL?

The base NPP is 2.5 pipe and the Z06 NPP is 3.0 you can also Mod the Z06 NPP to make it even louder with valve open i went from 2.5 NPP to Magnaflow 2.5 which i loved it sounded great now i'm running Z06 NPP to have a full 3 inch system with M2W setup my girl and HOA are a lot happier lol

I like my flappers open, the wife likes them closed
So they're closed when she's in the car and open when it's just me, problem solved.
A happy wife is, well, you know

will the stock 05 exhaust without the NPP fit an 08 with NPP with no issues or "dash/engine lights"? Reason being is a friend wants to trade his 08 in and I want to ask him if I can get his exhaust for my base 05.

You can trade mufflers with no problems, but he will need to block off the vacuum connection, preferably at the intake manifold. You will need to make or purchase a controller, unless you never intend to close the flaps.
