Hello all, I could really use some advice. My usual vendor (tire rack) has a very poor selection of wheels for my C6 Base model. I need a set of new wheels, but I have several specific requirements. They must be durable, as I autocross the car frequently, and the wheels must be strong enough to take considerable lateral G forces. They must be black or grey, lightweight, and OEM diameter (18 front, 19 rear) in order to accept my preferred tire brand, and I generally do not like the harshness of low profile tires.
Looks are not nearly as important as durability and a reasonable price.
Any help you can give would be most welcome-and vendors are welcome to chime in, provided their products fit the parameters.
Check out tsw wheels from a forum vender. They are lightweight and reasonably priced. Only issue with them is the rears are made to fit both c5 and c6 so on a c6 they may rub during hard cornering if you are lowered much.
For a few hundred more LG's own wheels would be perfect.
Appreciate the replies! E Bay is not really an option for me, unfortunately. I am a DoD Civilian working in Germany, and most E-Bay folks do not deal with APO customers. I wish I could make that work, I have seen several options on used wheels that could have worked out well.
