08 problems
I have an 08 coupe. heres what happens. sometimes when I start it up the abs light will come on the emergency brake light comes on and the check engine light comes on. after that all the gauges shut down and the exhaust sounds different. I shut the car off and wait. the dash lights come back on as if ready to start but when I press the starter button it goes dead again. if I wait 5 minutes it will crank up but the check engine light stays on. ive had it in the shop several times and get it home then it does this. they installed a new battery and I keep a tender on it. any ideas? thanks for any info

No. What does the shop say is wrong since you've been there several times? If they don't know, they are not the shop to go to. Where are you located (nothing in profile)? Any Corvette shops near you? Any Corvette clubs in your area---talked to them? ask them if there's any good shops/technicians nearby? What's the miles on the car? What, if any, modifications to the car? What repairs/replacements other than battery have been done? Are you the original owner?

I would certainly check the two big blue connectors in the fuse panel under the passenger footwell carpet...looseness in one of them has been known to cause some wild things to happen and most times the dealer did not figure it out, the forum did.
