Would love to hear what you guys think about the Nitto 05r. My size would be 305 35 19. I like the tread on the tire how would it hold with over 700hp for street driving and some racing

you will really like these tires. I have nothing but great things to say about them. I run a 345/30-19 (mini-tubbed) on my TT C5.
They may not be the absolute stickiest DR out there, but they are the best street-driving DR, IMHO and I've tried them all over the span of the last 20yrs.
Certainly they will not handle like a MPSS or R888, but you also will not feel like you have really compromised then great handling aspects of your Vette, like you will if you get a softer sidewall DR.
I run mine full-time on my Vette and have had no issues. Definitely better than the Nitto 555R, which is also not a bad tire, but can't hold the kind of power you are making. I'm not going to tell you I can dead hook in 1st gear, but from a 2nd gear roll-on (I have tall gears in my trans...same as C6 ZR1, so that probably helps) my car hooks great when the tires are warm after 10-15 mins of street driving.

How is the lifespan of NT05R? I guess in comparison to the 555R, as that's the only DR I have ran. Also do they hook up (strait line) better than the toyo R888, or corner about the same or better? Do you think they will outlast a R888 out back?

I've run the Toyo Proxes TQ which is their drag radial (which is a softer compound than the R888), and the NT05R is a better tire than that for hooking up the power. So I am guessing it will be better than an R888. I have not run an R888, but that tire should be a better cornering tire than the NT05R. As far as lifespan... tough to say. Neither is going to last very long (3-4k miles city driving).
I ran 555Rs for a long time on various vehicles, and it is a very good street tire with a better bite than a typical Z-rated tire. But it isn't nearly as good as the NT05R.

I just came from the drags yesterday with the 345X30X19. I'm running 550 RWH. I wasn't expecting it to hook in 1st gear with any kind of RPM, but it did great in 2nd. The main thing I liked about the tires were....no wheel hop. The softer compound is great for that.
How long did they say. If i cant find them guess i have to go with the et streets II. Big price jump thou
Here is what they sent me......

I should be able to get a lot lower. My 60' were still above 2 seconds. When I get them below 2 and not let off trying not to break out, the times should drop.
The R's were a pleasure to drive compared to regular compounds. I always had bad wheel hop in 2nd, when I shifted. There were no problems with the R's. I just need more seat time to get my 60' times down.
I'm not driving them on the street. I have an extra set of stock mag wheels I have them mounted on.
Today I'm going to have some Bridgestone RE-11's mounted on the rear. The standard NT05's that I have had for 30k miles are ready for replacement.
