Default cammed e85 ls3 questions

my car is a ls3 cammed auto with fti 3200 stall. im thinking of doing either a 6.0 iron block for a extra short block to beat on or just leaving the alum 6.2 in it and doing e85 setup. car made 471/442. and trapping 130 mph atm. i love to see what i can get on e85 and maybe do my heads later on. just throwig around ideals. what pump and injectors would i be looking at doing. what kinda gains should i expect?

i also run a shot on the car 150 -200 but ihave a standalone setup for it so that wont be a issue i dont think anyway. looking for ideals and input.

I would definitely go with E85 you will gain another 20 hp at the wheels and don't need stand along for your juice shot as E85 is about 104 octane $2.10 a gallon in my area

You will need 60 lbs. injectors and a larger E85 fuel pump.

Walbro F9000 267 450 lph.E85 and installation kit part# Wal400-0085

Is highly recommended to use Racetronix fuel pump hot wire/power upgrade and intermediate harness, is all plug and play.

everything including fuel injectors is under $700. use your OEM fuel lines and fuel rails, it works for me.

Engine will run cooler and clean. Hope this helps...

E85, like a meth kit, will allow you to advance the timing more safely.

The down side to E85, you will burn around 30% more of it compared to standard petrol for the same mileage.

So if this is a track car only, then race fuel will cover you on the timing push, and no meth or E85 is needed.

If this is a DD that will see track time that is running pump fuel, then you will save more money with a meth kit, since you will get more MPG off the standard petrol, and meth will be sprayed when you are getting on the car to protect the motor timing push instead.

Note, the Vet is not set up to run e-85 in the ECM tables. So if you are going to be running E-85 and the car as a street car, then have the car converted over to run flex fuels. This will make sure that the ECM is using the correct ECM table for the fuel in the tank (which may not always be E85).

To add, you can get 100% meth for less than $8 a gallon from any local chemical supplier, so a 50/50 mix is only around $5 a gallon with distilled water. Hence if you are running a store bought pre mix at $36 a gallon, you really need to have your head checked.

well for now id have to do something like a fuel flex, cause no stations within a hour or so. id like to do something that i could go from one to the other. i have a hp tuner so i could do 2 diff tunes and drain the fuel for race days. i wouldnt mind doing that. i know nothing about e85 and talked about doing it for a year or so. hoping a station was gonna open. but i can alway store 20 gallons or so np. if meth would result in the same gains i wouldnt mind doing that. but how does that work with nitrous? im almost to the pont of pulling the nitrous and taking that money and putting towards some mast heads. i love the all motor aspect . but i know how i am .i would be sick cause id be slower. just shooting around ideals.

Contact DSteck. He's done flex fuel on more than a few LS3 C6s and he'll be doing mine soon.

When I asked what I needed for my cammed LS3, stock fuel pump and LS9 or L9H injectors. Then he'll supply the flex fuel unit and wiring.

Flex fuel allows the car to run between E85 and normal pump fuel with any combination in between with no input from you. Adjusts andutomatically.

My ls3 A6 with cam, 3600 stall, and E85 makes 486/465. Stock heads, intake, and fuel pump with 60lb injectors.
