If all goes well, I will be rejoining the corvette community this week with a low mileage 2005. It seems I have already received a bite from the mod bug, and I'm already thinking ahead.
The car is coming with kooks long tubes and a billy boat rt 66 system. I'm trying to gather some idle clips from other cam (no heads) cars. Intake cars welcome, because that's probably on the mod list as well.
Thanks, and wish me luck!!!
Ps: if you are so kind to post, please include other mods and cam specs please.

Welcome! It's a terrific platform. If you're getting a manual 05 don't ever allow it to wheel hop, get right out of it as they came with weaker rears. That said mine lasted through 301 launches like in my signature.
My thread on my mods with dyno results overlaid may give you a road map on modding, you can see how the mods interact with each other.
Hey, thanks for that link, lots of good info in there! Your car with the cutouts open its just about the sound I was going for. The Route 66 that comes with the car is a little mild for my taste. The g5x3 sounds great!
The car also comes with the qa1 adjustable coil overs, and the leafs were removed. I'm not sure if that will improve the wheel hop in anyway. Then again, it will most likely be a weekend driver and won't see many hard launches.

You'll be happy then!
The cutouts make a better sound in the car than others, even NPP, as the redirection of the sound to the ground makes them super deep.
I have to recommend LG, years after I bought the cam I needed support on whether my AFR heads would clear, I called them and they took great care of me, told me that they would fit and gave me an easy method to check. They've done the homework in cam design so it's worth it to buy from them.
If your car is a manual, read this link on this page on clutch fluid care:
Had QTP cutouts installed by Florida Performance in Fort Lauderdale. Overall very pleased with the job Rob, the shop owner, did. This was his first C6 and he found a great place to put them and made the custom mandrel bent Y-pipes to maximize flow from the cutouts. We found no way to put them right after the collectors but they fit well by the trans. I have the DTE brace too but it wasn't in the way.
Installed the wiring myself along the drivers side rocker panel, behind seat then out the wheel well under the carpet. Removed the rear inner fender and drilled a small hole in the wheel well then ran the wire down to the cutouts. Hardest part is finding a hot wire when the ignition is on on these C6's. I ended up tapping the seat heater fuse as others here have done.
They are loud and DEEP when open at idle. I've actually heard louder exhaust though, I was kind of surprised they are not louder. I think it is because of the turn downs and the fact that I have cats and the pipes are pretty long before the cutouts. On the track they have a nice race car sound - I'd say like Borla Stingers plus 25%. When you open them at a stoplight you will turn heads, that's for sure.
Overall happy with the mod, it gives me quiet during my morning drive but loud when I'm at the track which is what I wanted.
Here is a video of idle with cutouts open and closed. The gain on the mike makes the closed sound much louder than it is, it's really quiet with factory mufflers even with my cam.
By the way, you can likely sell your B&B and get enough to buy the cutouts and have them installed. I love being stock quiet when appropriate, and rumbling loud at the track or a car show.
Be sure if you do cutouts to direct the exhaust down away from the fiberglass leaf spring, like I did. Those that didn't heed this advice end up melting their spring. Mine's 10 years old now and still good to go.
Two days away from a major tax deadline and you still have time in the middle of the day for the forum. All the tax guys I know are pulling double shifts. Did you get a promotion?
To the OP. Stick with Joe. He won't lead you astray. Definitely an '05 guru.
