Hey Guys ...2008 Coupe ... need help passenger rear side only tire rubbing on body !!! Car is somewhat modified - has not been lowered and stock size rear tire !!! Anyone else experience this need help !!!

I know from experience that the car can sit on the frame skewed somewhat.

In my case the left rear tire is more outward than the right rear. Maybe in your case it is even more so as to rub the fender lip.

Weak shocks.

When I went to aftermarket wheels with a different offset is was easily noticeable than with the OEM wheels. Look carefully to see how the rear tires compare in the fender opening.

It has to be shocks - no warning just lets go and enough to damage tire !!! one of the unfortunates of owning a older vehicle !!!

Maybe a compromised cross leaf spring too. Worth checking. As with all suspension componants.

Yup, seems somewhat common. You would probably have to elongate the cradle mounting holes so you can slide it to the driver's side to square it up.

Not disagreeing. You would thing that with the manufacturing tolerances being what they are today compared to 30 years ago, you would not need to do that.....
