need your help on this one. I was driving home in my 05 LS2 C6... going about 75 then all of the sudden she started running like ****.. misfiring.. I limped her home (20mph). I've changed the plugs and plug wires.. still running like **** and indicating misfire.
I've got no codes to indicate a coil pack issue only the p0300 (what ever it is) misfire code along with U2100 (which I don't believe has anything to do with the issue (or does it).
Any help appreciated.... I would assume if it was a cam position sensor or a crank position sensor it would throw a specific code for that.
u codes are communication codes. p0300 is a multiple cylinder misfire. have you had the headlight recall done ? you may have something loose in the under hood fuse box. could you have gotten the fuse box wet ? how about the one under the passenger floor ? if the computer is loosing signal, that would explain the codes. I would start by checking battery cables and their connections 1st. then check the cam, (it is behind the water pump & has 2 connections ( 8" extension) and crank sensor (next to the starter) then check fuel injector harnesses, fuel pressure and compression.
this is a C6 no flip up's. car was running fine then all went to crap.
Help!!
the headlight recall is on the C6,it gets done at the under hood fuse box. it has to be split and a jumper installed. the fuel pump relay is there ecm power comes from there also.

Okay ... did not know that.. do you think this is my issue based on what I have presented?

I will be going over all you have stated this weekend. I hope it's simple. Once the car warms a little it lines right out. Mis fires when 1st cold start primarily. I appreciate your help and guidance.

She is not throwing any code... just the flashing engine symbol indicating multi mis fire
