Default Race Brake Pads...

Are there any other brake pads brands comparable to Carbotech XP10's that are cheaper in price?

Before we get deeper into this, look at the below charts, and understand that race pads suck when used for street use. Hence the rotors and pads do not get up to the needed working temps to allow the pads to bite correctly.

So before any of us can answer your question, really need to know the heat range of your rotors, and then we can help you decided on the correct brake pad for your use.

Check the road race forum. Hundreds of posts on brake pad compounds.

I use DTC 70 but they're $300 a set. I don't think that satisfies your cost requirements.

I've never found anything cheaper so I continue using XP10 / XP8 (F/R).

It's best to match the pad compound to the tire.
Which tire are you using?
