Default Need some help!

Hello,
I need some help. I bought a 2005 Corvette 2 years ago. and i love it. i wouldn't go back on it. well I have been in Basic/AIT since October and i have decied to pay the car off. well after i pay the car off i want to upgrade the car. i want it the horsepower to be 500 or so. i want to add a cam heads and a air intake. i already added a borla catback i believe its called. also alittle down the road i want to get a supercharger for it. and i heard that i will probably need a different differential on it because the 2005 cant take to much power, that's what i heard atleast. so maybe a 2006 one. but anyways...
the main point is that i was wondering what is the best cam, heads, and air intake. the air intake i want is a vararam. but im still open minded about parts

The best heads cam and intake are the ones that would go with your supercharger.. Personally I wouldn't waste the money doing anything unless you do the supercharger too. My money is too hard to come by to do things twice.

Start with a tune,

Although the tune will only gain you around 15hp (bump the HP to around 425hp at the crank) the huge one here is de-hobbling the TM that is holding instant HP from reaching the ground instead.

Also, if this is a automatic car, night and day difference on the shifts as well.

Also, on the E40 ECM, Night and Day difference on throttle response as well since it can be massage in the tune too.

Now with the motor un-hobbled/unleashed, you can figure out if you really have use for an extra HP. As for supercharger, your in the 600hp range, and without the TM just holding back power like before, your just end up burning DOT tires to the ground (not mentioning having to bullet proof the diff if you plan on drag strip running the car.

Most importantly do you have the A4 or M6.

If you have the A4 the rear will hold up if you upgrade to bilstein shocks. I have gone 11.20's on Drag radials with no problem. My car have over 100 passes & now 76K miles.

If you want to go faster you will need coil overs in the back to insure that the rear stays together.

The M6 is an entirely different animal. Over the years I have seen many break. You can change to a C5 rear or upgrade to a Z06 rear. The main problem is that individuals try to drive through wheel hop/ tire shake, destroy the rear and sometimes the trans too.

In any event a Eldbrock e force supercharger should do the trick without doing heads & cam

What tune did you use? I heard that Diablo was a good one.

I believe I have a a4 transmission. And shocks was another thing I was looking at as well. And I wanted the cam and heads for the bigger punch and the sound it delivers with it.
