snap sound when off

sitting near the car sometimes i hear what sounds like a snap coming the car. almost like an electrical relay sound. any idea what that could be. id hate to have some electrical fire or something. any ideas? thanks.

Does this happen after running the car? If so, I bet that this is the exhaust system "snapping" as it cools.

I've heard enough exhaust systems to be almost sure it is not that.

Its happened at random times. It sounds like its coming from the dash, or near where the fuse box is located. Its weird for sure.

I'm wondering if it is a relay and/or capacitor making a discharge. If you heard it, you would wonder WTF also. So hopefully it is nothing that will start a fire. I hate when that happens...

mine does that too when i shut it off and after it shuts down after the 10 minute accessory delay. Mine sounds like a robot in the dash. Just all the relays and electrical crap shutting down
