Hi guys. I recently had one TPMS sensor go out with no alarm. I brought the car to discount tire and they suggested that I change all 4 due to internal batteries. After changing them they could not get the fobs to open the learn mode. The recent seat remove and replace left the battery unhooked for a couple of days, but after that everything worked fine...no smoke. I checked the wiring and fuses, I followed the tech suggestion to drive around at 20 mph for 15 minutes, with no luck. I plan to go back to Discount Tire tomorrow to verify that the part numbers are correct. Any help would be welcome! My opinion is that they worked before, they should work now and put it on them.

Whether the new TPMS sensors are the right ones or the wrong ones (or are missing altogether) will have no bearing on getting the car to go into learn mode.
Did you switch the car to ACC mode first? You have to do that first, then hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob. The car should honk once to indicate it's in learn mode.

yes they did and I did as well. is this going to be indicated on the DIC? IF in fact in doesn't this could be my problem, but the tire people should know this
The horn is a good thought. As stated above, the sensors themselves, whether there, wrong or missing will not have any impact on getting the car into the program mode. I would also suggest trying the fob buttons separately...one may not be working. Then I would go home and get the other fob and try getting it into program with that one.

All Fixed!!
went back this morning with both fobs, the senior tech came out and we set the tpms together. Zero problems, the first fob has operated all other functions but who knows. I'm happy, they are happy that I am happy
THANKS for the input
