Default Competitive Mode will not activate now...help

Went to dinner and as we were leaving I got the ever popular "reduced engine power" "service traction system" issue. I limped the car home, disconnected the battery for a few minutes and the. Reconnected. Check engine light is off and I seem to have full power again (for now at least) BUT now I cannot engage Competitive Driving Mode. It will only turn traction control on or off.

Any ideas or suggestions

Pull the codes, and give us the fault code number (s).

If you don't have a scanner, go to autoparts store, and they will pull the codes for free.

it needs to read the tire pressure first before it will allow comp mode, drive it and the computer should pick up the tpms sensor again disco the battery temp lost the tpms sensor but once you drive it for 5-20 mins it will be back to normal.

My C5 pulled that sht last year after driving in the rain. I'm have absolutely no clue if they could be related but mine was a bad ground on the multiple ground connector to the frame under the hood. I cleaned it and had no problems after that.
