Default Nav Master PIN

Read in the How to section about "Hacking the NAV screen Diag PIN code". It requires a System master PIN code, supposedly listed in the owners manual. I looked for it everywhere. Can't find it. Can someone point me to it?

I think you need a tech 2 to get in there.

You can stop looking. I think whoever wrote that about the PIN is confused. There is no master pin code listed in the owners manual.

I haven't even seen anything about it in the factory service manuals, nor would there NEED to be. The only Nav radio configuration needed is the VIN relearn (and many at the dealership struggle even with that simple function). No hacking or changing of Nav Radio operational parameters is allowed or encouraged at the dealership level.

Ok, after some simple searching I found that you can in fact access a hidden menu and enter a pin code. There is not much you can do after your in there but HERE is a good thread all about it.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion.

Thanks for the link, it explained a lot.
Unfortunately, after paying high price for an inferior built-in navigation system, we have limited use of it.
