So I ordered some inner and outwe tie rods for my 08 base C6...I took the boot off and saw this (refer to pictures) . When I read how to do it is says to remove the boot and check for corrosion and stuff and if none is found continue with the repair. Is this what theyou are saying to look for and if so does this mean I need a new rack/power steering gear and/or both? Thanks for your help
It's definitely grease but is not the same consistency as the grease that's coming out of the tie rod (yellow grease) ...It's much thinner/more slippery
