Default DTC Messages and Engine light on

Recently started having problems with my 2008 C6 convertible. All of a sudden the engine light came on and the chime began to sound, while the DTC reported the following errors:
- Maximum speed 158 MPH
- Service Active Handling System
- Service Ride Control
- Service Traction System
Also as I slowed down the automatic transmission seemed to down shift to second gear and stay in second. If I restart the car the engine light stays on, but the DTC messages and second gear issue takes a little while to pop up. If I disconnect the battery and reconnect, the engine light goes off, but after a while it all happens again. It got better over a month or so of driving, but when I washed it, the problem came back with a vengeance.

I pulled the error codes and found P0575, P0700, U0073, U0140

Your car is an automatic. Remove the connector that goes into the transmission case. check for damaged terminals and or broken wires. make sure connector locks in firmly with a click. There may also be a possible can bus issue. In that case take it to the dealer. This is the method that different modulesw communicate with each other. Being an ex chevy tech I warn against going to the local repair shop. This is a wiring issue, not likely any parts need changing.

Good luck.

Had a similar issue on a car I worked on last month. Same DIC messages and codes U0700 and a few others.
Check the ground at the left side of the block just fwd of the engine mount. That is the ground for the EBCM.
Also check all the connectors and wiring leads for the Selective ride.
If the problem got worse after washing , leads me to believe you're getting water intrusion into a harness or component

All,

I am sorry it is taking so long to reply that my problem is resolved. Replaced the F55 Select Ride Control Shock Module and the problems are gone. I was very lucky to do business with a shop that felt strongly the module was at fault, but couldn't guarantee a new $600+ F55 module was going to fix it. The shop let me pick up a F55 module used from EBAY with a two week return policy just in case it wasn't an F55 issues.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions
