Default TPMS and Drag Radials

I recently purchased a used set of rims and drag radials from a fellow forum vendor. These will be for use at the track only and don't have TPMS sensors. Last weekend, I had plans to head to the track for the first run on the new rims/tires. I pulled off the stock wheels/tires and put on the drag radials. Car ran fine and did not set off any of the Traction control nannies on the drive from the house to the track. After about 30 minutes of driving, I got a "Service TPMS" alert on the DIC. Car still ran fine. Unfortunately, when I got to the track, it rained so no racing. Driving home, again after about 30 minutes, got the "Service TPMS" alert. My question is, would this alert on the DIC caused any issues? I did not get a change to turn off traction control to do a burnout or any hard runs on the drag radials. Since it took about 30 minutes after starting the car for the alert to come on, would all have been normal for my staging and run? Please help. Car is a 12 GS M6.

Thanks.

Hello,

Here is a link to what works.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...this-work.html

Made mine a few years ago and it works excellent. Bought a TPMS sensor programmer and all I have to do is take off my rims/tires and install my drag radials, program the canister that contain my TPMS sensors and I am off to the drag races.

Good Luck,

Douglas in Green Bay

The warning message will prevent you from putting it into Competitive Mode but still let you turn off traction control which is all you really need to do anyway.
