I have the same tires and don't go lower than 18 psi. Depending on your rpm at launch and weather you have standard or automatic. Remember you get a lot more traction on a prepped drag strip then the street. I launch my standard shift at 3k and get dead hook up and no bog. If you have an automatic you will not spin at 18 psi.
All C6's except the '05 automatic, have 6 speeds. Do you have a manual transmission 6 speed or an automatic transmission 6 speed?
Either way, tire pressure is adjusted to match the aggressiveness of the launch and the track conditions. The ideal number is the highest pressure that will allow the most aggressive launch. I can only assume from the question, that you have little or no experience, so try starting with 30psi and work your way down 2-3 psi at a time with the same launch RPM and technique until you hook. If you don't hook by the time you get to 18psi, change the RPM or the technique.
the track was not hooking for anybody tnite. I ran it 18psi but spun and I didn't launch hard. 6spd manual best time was 11.4 and my trap speed was 131mph second gear was not too bad. My first time taking my vette out there I use to take my drag mustang to the track sorry for the dumb question thanks thou
