I finally decided to pick up a set of long tube headers. I wanted to get a used set of LG's or American Racing but I heard good things about Texas Speed long tube system. I bought their 1 7/8 primaries with a catless x pipe. I'm going to mate them up with a pair of Bi mode Z06 mufflers. These are going on my recently purchased 05 Z51 Coupe. I snapped a few pictures but I'll take some quality pictures when I do the install.
Make sure that when you do the headers, that the slave cylinder hose, from the manual transmission if you have it, is not touching the headers. If it does it will melt and be a big job to fix.

Hey Z51 c6, yeah I'm wrapping the slave connection line and O2 extension wires with an heat wrap. I learn this on my C5 when my O2 wire got a little hot
Get a few shots of the inside of the collector and the primaries
Hey Jay, yeah I snap some better pics. I was in a hurry when I took those. I've been working on my Z06 exhaust, the tips where beyond crusty. What do you guys think?
I'd like to see the collector and primaries when you get to it. I installed a set a few years back when they first came out for the C6 and they look like they have been improved.
Texas Speed seems to think so. Their headers work! I have never seen numbers like this either with an intake and exhaust:
We had a guy with our 1 7/8 longtubes and x pipe and your 108 super bee on an ls3 car with no other mods put down 451/448 this weekend. As far as I know, that might be one of the highest HP ls3 cars ive seen with just intake and exhaust.

Hey Jim, this is good to know! These are going on my little LS2 but I hope to maximize my gains with their system. I also have a Halltech Venom intake minus the bee hive. Maybe you could help me with that?
Their collector has changed and it now has a velocity spike I see and the primaries look pretty good inside too-
When you get there, be sure to get the LS3 maf (down the road). I installed the Halltech 103 maf forward (LS3 blade) when I had VR tune my LS2 TFS/G6X3 set up-
The devil is in the details when you're looking for all the power-
Those look pretty nice for the money , I recently purchased a set of lg pros and they were not nearly that nice. Fitment was horrible on the passenger side as well .
Hey Booz, yeah that's too bad one would expect top notch fitment on $1800 set of headers. I couldn't justify spending that much on headers again with the decent quality headers like Texas Speed ones.

I have these on my car. Picked up 48 HP and 51 TQ after adding these headers, Fast 102, and tune. I have them mated with Corsa Xtreme. Post some sound clips when you get a chance.

Hey 05Z51, I'll post up some sound clips when I'm finished with my install.
Finally got around to install my headers today. I am glad I installed header studs, they make holding the gasket and lining up the header a breeze. These headers fit great slip right in like a glove. The only speed bump I had was the dip stick tube had to be trimmed or ground down to fit around the headers but no biggie. I would highly recommend Texas Speed Headers, I've owned a $1800 set of headers and these fit just as good. I took a couple of photos of my install and will continue to post pictures of my completed exhaust project.
