steering wheel

So pull your old and new steering wheel down to the base wheel, and then build the new wheel back up with your old parts.
And the next time you need to replace the leather on the wheel, check with some locally car upholstery shops, since chances are they can re-lace the wheel with new leather/color of your choice (and even stitching color) for less that the cost of a new wheel.
Better yet, take the wheel with you on your next trip to Mexico, and you can get it redone for dirt cheap instead (might have a problem getting it back through customs if you have an exotic leather used instead). Hell do it right and you should be able to get machining set of boots/loafers as well.
