My car 06m6 just randomly kills while driving. No check engine lights or anything. Put the car in neutral and it fires right back up while coasting. Anyone experienced this?
Car is M6 cammed. When it kills, its not just the engine. Everything goes off like it was sitting in the garage. Fires right up when I hit the start button.
Check for body and communication codes. This will give an idea of which module is loosing power or ground. Code will say "loss of communication with module X."
Note, a hand held code reader will not work. Will need a real scanner or tech2

i tried search, because i read this problem about 3 years ago, it was the battery cable connected at the starter.
problem is i cant remember if the nut was not tight or the entire lug at on the starter was broken and sorta loose. either way, they reached the starter terminal/battery cable lug and wiggled it (with NO finger rings on) and found it (?) loose

This makes the most sense to me as it just started happening after I had longtubes installed on the car. The one mod I did not do myself. Guess I will be getting under there and checking for some loose wires.
A friend of mine had same issues..ground wire at battery was corroded really bad..inside the coating..couldn't tell till he took it off. replaced with new cable solved the problem.
