Default Brake pedal spring?

Is there a spring that keeps the brake pedal from lifting up? Mine seems to easily float up under hard acceleration causing a check ABS message. Thanks.

went through the parts list and nothing labeled as a spring. might be in this blow-up somewhere but i dont see it. so , maybe this helps for someone to point out which part(s) here need adjusting.

Spring is in the brake booster,

But what do you mean that it floats up?

When the ABS kicks in to just stop the tires from locking up when braking, you should feel the brake pedal start to pulse/chatter rapidly instead.

If the active handling kicks in, then the ABS pump kicks in to send more brake fluid pressure to one or more of the brake calipers to slow the needed tires down to straighten the car out instead (will slightly push the brake pedal back up).

I would start with pulling codes, and if you have not power flushed the brake lines in a few years with new brake fluid, now would be a good time to do so. Also, to get all the old fluid out of the ABS pump, it take a Tech II to cycle the pump as you are power flushing the brakes. Short of this, power flush with new fluid to get all the old fluid out you can can, find an area that you can get the active handling to kick on during hard braking to cycle the abs pump to push the old fluid out of the pump and suck in new fluid, then powder bleed again.

The pedal can be lifted up by hand when the car is sitting parked or with your foot like there is nothing keeping it from floating up under acceleration. Brakes work fine but when I launch hard the pedal floats up causing the check active handling message and service vehicle message to come up. This car was originally setup with hand controls for a driver that was paralyzed from the waist down. I'm trying to figure out what they forgot to put back on the car when they removed the hand controls. Thanks for any help.
