Default Electronic Ride Control nightmare 2012GS

I have a 2012 Grand Sport.
Many, Many Mods. I was enjoying the car a while back and the dash board, read , "Service Electronic Ride Control"
I went to the dealer had them scan it and it showed that the signal from the drivers rear position sensor was not reading.
I ordered another replaced and came up with the same result.
I swapped old senor to passenger's side it reads fine.
Now I need to determine if its a break in a wire or the control module.
Where do I get a wiring lay out to see where it all goes and what the correct colors are?
I've had the whole drive train out many times and would like to find the module and test the wiring before I proceed.dd
Please help!!
Thanks,

Kevin

Be patient over the weekend. There are several guys in here who have experience with the system and may have the info you want but it may be awhile before they all see your post. Good luck.

There are 3 codes to determine fault for each corner. Since you had the dealer hook up the Tech II, you need to know what code they found. C0585-01 or -02 or -04. No sense in tracing a fault if you don't know what or where to look.

I went out and spent $3000 for the latest scan tool from snap on since then.
I don't know the code off the top of my head. I'll scann and update.
It shows 5 volts while others are in low 2's.
Where is the control module in the Grand Sport?(is it different with oil sump location).
Did some snooping with a tester, seems like green/black stripe is not right.
Guessing... I'd like to find where it meets the module and test.
Otherwise I'd have to pull the whole drive trials, runs thru tunnel then up firewall.
Thanks so much for your time!!!

I can only assume the ESC module is in the passenger wheelwell on a GS just like any other C6. The fender shape and/or battery location (dry vs wet sump) didn't change any other harnesses. However, if the dealer determined the problem was in the left rear, the ESC is functioning. Other than the sensor, which you found works correctly, and damper, which you haven't checked (but is unlikely to be bad), the problem remains in the wiring/connectors. The code will narrow down how to test and which wires/connectors are creating the problem.

If you have access to a service manual (I'd suspect any year C6) the wiring diagrams and test procedures will make short work of locating the problem.

This could be as simple as the connector on the shock not being fully seated. If that connector was cracked upon the shock removal or installation, it's possible the spring clip that holds it in place could fall out. If that connector is broken, GM claims it's only available as part of the shock assembly. I have a PN for a replacement connector that will work with a minor modification. I'd bet you could guess how I know.
