CPU Problem HELP!
My 05 Z51 had some transmission work recently when picking up the car it turned out the Key FOB battery had died. got a new battery and it started up ok. When I turned the car off, I got a message NO KEY FOB DETECTED and Shift Trans to reverse. even though the tranny was already in reverse. Hence I thought I just needed to reboot the computer. Disconnected the neg. terminal reconnected and computer went crazy. dash board lit up like I just started the car, when I pushed the start button everything went out. Now it just sitting in the garage with the battery cable disconnected cause all the dash lights won't go off with the cable connected. HELP

Shift to reverse DCI message with the trans in reverse is bad reverse switches, or they did not plug the connectors back in or broke the wire connectors plugs/wiring. On the 2005, there is two reverse switches on the trans. So for this, car needs to go back to the shop to have them correct the wiring/switch problems.
The two black plugs in a row in the lower center of the photo on the front passanger side of the trans is the reverse light switches (again, two of them and look close at the photo see both of them since once is just above the other and the trans is sitting with the rear of it to the left, and front of it as it will sit in the car to the right).
NO KEY FOB DETECTED is kind of normal for me, and it just a matter of lifting up my hip in the seat with the fob in that pocket so the RCDLR antenna's can see it to start the car. As for shut down, just get lazy instead of lifting my hip and just hitting the off position on the starter button a second time with the car in reverse instead.
PS, it not CPU, there is the BCM involved in this mess when the car can not see the reverse switches in the correct positions to allow you to put the car into sleep mode.
