I can not break the front lowering bolts loose for the life of me! I've soaked them in pb blaster, can't get them to break free. I had the car on a jack, and also put a jack under the leaf to release tension from the suspension, still couldn't get it loose. Any ideas or advice? Do you have to jack the car up or can the wheels be on the ground? How did you do it?
Simple...disconnect your endlinks, disconnect lower shock mounts, and you could either remove the upper control bolts (my preference) or separate the spindle from the lower control arm to take off all the pressure from the spring. Once thats done, you can remove the 4 mounting bolts in the center of the leaf spring, and out it comes.

Yes, you need to get the tires off the ground and make sure the jack under leaf spring is positioned as far as possible toward outside of car. If jack is more to center you will not relieve enough pressure to turn the bolts.
