Default Mis Fire

Guys,

I have an 06 Z06, Twin Turbo E85 car.

When I start the car she runs rough... indicating multiple mis-fire... after she heats up she lines out and runs smooth. I've got brand new wires, plugs with 200 miles on them.... I cant figure out what is causing this.

any pointers appreciated.

Have you at least brought up the codes?
Are you just getting a P0300?
Also very curious.....did this problem begin before the new plugs and wires, or was that an attempt to repair it?

Open loop or closed loop tune?

Do you have access to HP Tuners?

no codes being thrown. just flashing engine light indicating multiple mis-fire. I can get access to HPT. Any thoughts of what I should look at prior to calling in my tuner?

thanks again guys!

Also I noticed you 2 threads regarding the misfire?

With a scanner you should be able to see each cylinder and see with one(s) are giving you the most misfires. it will be helpful to see

I can not pull any codes with a hand held scanner. when I get access to HPT i'll try again. It's indicating multiple mis-fire, not a particular cylinder... that's what I thought the flashing engine light indicates at least. It did this before I put on the new wires or plugs... replacing those was a part of my elimination and isolation plan.....

The light will flash if a misfire is potentially harmful.
Multiple misfires could be 2 but knowing what which ones will really help pinpoint the issue

I don't understand.

You say it won't pull codes.. but also say it indicates multiple misfires?

he assumes that because it's a flashing light. he'll have to read all cylinders and watch the misfire count in real time with a proper scanner. I have had multiple cases where I would have never figured out the problem on customers cars because codes weren't' coming up yet a misfire was more than obvious
