Code reader for Body Control Module

I need to see if any DTC's are set for the body control module on my '13 GS. Should help me narrow down a problem with 'auto unlock'.

I know that code readers for the PCM are easy to find. Just not sure which one will work for the BCM?

Nothing fancy, just need to read the DTC. Any suggestions?

The only one I've seen mentioned is the Tech 2 but it's $$$. May have to get a local dealer to pull the codes for you.

a snap on solus like mine will read them.
but if your car is still under warranty, them why spend a dollar?

U will probably need a tech 2 to read and fix the problem

That's a good question. I figured it would be good to have after my warranty runs out in May '16.

But now I know they're not cheap, so I scheduled a service appointment.

Read something interesting on page 4-202 of the 2013 service manual:

Actions Taken When the DTC Sets
The remote control door lock receiver will ignore the door handle switch input.

So thats why I wanted to know the code -- probably an easy fix.
