So I'm sure this topic is well covered somewhere on this forum, but my attempts to find the info has come up short. I have an 05 c6 Z51 A4 with an E-force and full exhaust, making around 475 at the wheels, and am trying to figure out if I should start budgeting for an 06- diff conversion. From what I'm reading it seems that typically only the six speed manuals are falling victim. I don't have any plans to add more power right now, but I would like to buy some sticky rubber and put in some time at the strip for fun soon. any info is appreciated.
You can install the later design 2006> but in order to do so you will have to change out your transmission extension housing to a 2006-2007 one. Part number 19132778. This trans extension will bolt to you existing trans and will mate the later diffs.
