DIC Tone Static
I know from reviewing previous threads that hearing some static while the DIC (or anything else) beeps is normal. However, mine suddenly got a lot louder, and it's pretty annoying!
Any button press will play a really loud hiss that stays on for a second after the tone is over.
Does anyone know what might have caused this?
It's a 2008 convertible.

I was just driving and noticed some other issues here... I'm pretty sure the noise is alternator whine.
I had the radio on while driving, then I hit a little bump and it began to whine, with the pitch increasing with RPM. When hitting other bumps it will go away and come back. With the radio off, I can hit a DIC button and hear the whine while the tone is played as well.
Surely that means something is loose, like a ground wire. Does anyone know if there are multiple grounding points to the chassis that I might check to see if they're snug?
I've read many posts here about alternator whine in aftermarket stereos, but this is completely stock.
