Hey guys quick question,I just had a h/c/i install done on my 06 base about 800 miles ago and what I have is a lunati voodoo cam 231/235 .622/626 on a 112+2 with a 7.400 pushrod and ls7 lifters. The problem is when the car warms up it sounds horrible and I've done some research on the ls7 vs the ls2 and what I have found is the ls7 is .050 longer,so should the pushrods be 7.350?I know the proper way is to measure but until I get a chanice to do so I figured I could get some very good info from you guys. The heads are just T.E.A. stage 2 ported 243s. Thanks in advance.
you paid someone to work on your car and THEY didn't know how? and you wouldn't call Lunati?
First time using that shop, won't use them again. I called lunati last night spoke to a guy named Steve and he said they typically don't give pr lengths because of to many variable to change the length. I'm also curious now if my oring could be pinched or cracked causing the noise.
I did check the length lastnight when I got home with a pr checker and what I got to zero lash was about 10 turns, which from what I have read is good for my 7.400 prs.
