I got a pair of used NPP mufflers for my base 07. The were cut off at the can. I figured a muffler shop should be able to weld these no problem. I looked up under there the other day and there's not much room. They will probably have to take the axle over pipe off and weld it up. Is there anything I should be concerned about doing this? Anybody else do it this way? Is it hard to get the tips in the right location?

It's very hard to get the overaxle pipes lined up correctly when the muffler is off the car.
1) Install the mufflers,
2) line everything up,
3) tack weld mufflers to pipes just enough to hold positions,
4) uninstall mufflers
5) make full welds on muffler/pipe junction
6) reinstall.
7) check for fit; repeat steps if necessary
A lot of work but I don't know of any way else to do it -- if the over-axle pipes are not lined up correctly, they'll rattle on the frame or transmission housing.
This is why buying mufflers with the pipes still attached is far preferable.
