Missing nuts??
I replaced my shocks today on my '08 and I noticed that the ends of the front spring fits over a threaded bolt or stud. There isn't a nut on top, and actually, doesn't seem to be enough threads to get a nut fully on. Is this just a locating stud? I would think that if it's just for locating, there wouldn't be any need for threads, just a smooth stud.

not sure where you are looking , you mean here where the socket is placed? that is for raising/lowering ride height...
