Did a ton of research on here and then ended up buying a 2012 NPP set of mufflers. All of my research here said that I needed either 2008 NPP mufflers or 2009-up mufflers and mid-pipe / x-pipe. Now that I am digging around for the mid-pipe, I find that the muffler and mid-pipe part numbers are different between the 2009-2011 and 2012-2013. Am I ok here? What mid-pipe(s) will work? Had a lead on a decent priced 2009-2011 x-pipe and now I'm not sure if it will work. Anyone been here before?
if you would have done any research at all you would have found the putting the complete Z06 system on would have been better and probably cheaper then the NPP mufflers. let me guess you paid $350 or more for the mufflers? there was a complete Z06 system in parts section for under $500 and then you'd have a 3 inch system, cheap headers and still pass smog. direct bolt in for a manual car and just a little more work for an auto.

Not real sure how your reply adds to the conversation or helps answer my question, but......
I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that I have no need for a 3 inch exhaust and, in all my research, some folks were saying that the 2.5 NPP actually sounds better than the 3 inch Z06. They mention that the 3 inch will have more of the popping on deceleration.
I did my research and bought what I wanted. A simple way to get a little more sound out of the car, whenever I want, and easily take it back to stock, if I or a future owner feels the need.
Thanks,
Posey
