Default Need Assistance Please

Need some help guys. Car is an 05 Z51 MN6 with Kooks LT’s, cam, etc that I purchased the spring. I got the DOT 4 brake fluid to do the Ranger clutch flush. Opened the clutch MS and no fluid! Strange thing was the clutch was operating normal as far as I could tell during my commute to and from work (no leaks). Anyways I filled the reservoir and flushed 4 times until the fluid turned clear. I was keeping an eye on it when I started noticing small puddles at work and at home. Checked the clutch fluid level and it was only down approximately 1/8”. The puddles started getting bigger but clutch fluid level didn’t drop so I parked the car until I could get it up to investigate. The car has leaked way more fluid than was missing in the MS.

Pics below are of the vicinity where it’s leaking on the passenger side. Started the car the other day and whatever is leaking was burning on the header. What are these steel lines, transmission cooler supply and return or clutch slave lines? And if so where did the clutch fluid go that was missing from the MS?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Looks like your clutch slave cylinder is leaking my friend.

I just had to fix mine, took some time but if your going to do it now is the time to install a quick bleed line so you can bleed the hydraulics correctly.

Thanks I was planning on that as well as the billet bearing support.

One question though. If the slave is toast why is it leaking outside the bell housing up by the starter? Could the fittings be loose? Fluid is leaking down as indicated by the circle.

Are sure that what you are seeing is clutch fluid? Also, keep in mind that when the slave leaks, you end up with fluid everywhere because of the rotating parts in the clutch housing.

I was hoping it's not clutch fluid but rpmextra thinks so. Gonna get the car up higher this weekend to confirm. I could swear the fluid is red. That's why I was asking about transmission fluid.

The metal line circled is a transmission oil line that runs up to the radiator.

I really don't see clutch fluid getting over there on that side.. there are no clutch hydraulics or lines or anything to do with that on the passenger side of the car.

That's what I was hoping for. Fingers crossed!

Well I was putting 2 & 2 together. OP mentioned he has no fluid in is clutch reservoir and that oil color looks much more like clutch fluid than trans from the cooler line. If it is trans fluid you desperately need that flushed as it should be crystal red and clean lol. I will say it's odd to be on the cooler lines and definitely better to get a proper diagnostic before tearing anything apart. It may be engine oil......hows the oil level look?

And I value your 2 & 2 and was hoping for you to chime in. I followed your clutch and slave trials and tribulations so if anyone could point me in the right direction ...

I've dedicated the weekend to figuring this out and as far as getting a proper diagnostic, I'll buy a lift and do it myself rather than pay the dealership to take me to the cleaners.

I would start by inspecting every inch of the clutch hydraulics and try to see if you can find anything that could be a leak

New to the black magic inside a vette, but not to cars in general. I have replaced clutches on Mustangs and my Porsche in the past, but have no experience with the torque tube setup. What is the green bellows piece in the above picture? Is that the slave cylinder with the lines connected to it? If so, now I see why it is a pain to bleed it!
