squeaking ls7 help!
Hello all,
hoping some of you guys could help me out. I have a squeaking coming from engine bay. Thinking it may be a pulley or bad bearings. I'll post a video let me know what you think or what I should check. Any help is appreciated! 2008 z06

you can use a little chalk (tire stick) and let the belt rub it on the rib side (watch your fingers. As the belt wears into the chalk, it will coat itself. it the sound disappears its the belt itself. If not, I can not tell direction listening to a video but look into your ac and drive tensioners too. I have also heard alternators make noise like that. You can pull the belt ad free spin everything to see if you can duplicate it and narrow it down.

Need to chase it down a little farther, but does sound like a dry bearing in either the idler or tension pulleys.
