Default Possible Grounding Problem

Three times now, when my car sits on an incline, nose up, it will not start. Only shows 6 volts. Lights are bright and all accessories work fine. I have to use jumper cables to start it. Never a problem on flat ground. Had Sears check battery/alternator and everything checks out OK. Could I be loosing a ground from lets say engine to frame?? any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Check your battery post connections, because sometimes the OEM clamps do not tighten down hard enough, and causes a buildup between the post and the clamp, making for possible bad connections.
Also, check the starter solenoid posts for good connections. There has been reported issues with broken posts at the solenoid, especially so if the car has headers, because it appears the extra heat causes the solenoid bakelite material to weaken and break away from the posts.
Other than that, the battery itself could be going bad, as in a bad cell, limiting the amount of charge it takes from the alternator. When the battery is tilted, it could be causing the short across the cells due to cell material laying on the bottom of the battery in the acid. The article in the link explains it well, including soft shorts which only causes occasional issues.

Clearly, it's because--with the battery in the rear of the car--it requires extra amperage to push all those electrons uphill to get your car started.

Roll it around and get the nose pointed downhill....should start just fine.

M'kay....
