I'm sure others have done this. I really like the NPP exhaust in my new-to-me C6. I generally always like it opening up once it gets wound up. BUT, I also wanted to be able to just pop it open sometimes, give the crowd a bit of noise. So not the usual aftermarket thang, where you have to go either full open or full closed on a switch. I want, either full open or factory rpm openable.

The solution was pretty easy. Pulled the fuse, and inserted a couple blade connectors, one for each side of the fuse-holder. Then wires from them up to the console, which I had apart already to do a radio install. Add an inline fuse holder, and a push-button switch, wire it all together as a loop, from one blade connector through the wires, fuse holder and switch and back to the other blade connector.

I really himmed and hawed about the switch, finally settled on a click-on, click-off tiny little thing, that at the moment hangs just below the edge of the console on the driver's side, pretty close to where the seat belt connector is. Easy to reach, and I don't accidentally bump it with my wider load.

Took it for a test drive, seems to work as desired. May have to do something to make the switch install a bit more stable, I just hate drilling up the console to properly install it. We'll see. Maybe $15 in parts, so not too pricey, and I can always just pull it back out later and put the fuse back.

Reportin'.

Did pretty much the same thing, I just used a relay and cut into the wires behind the fuse. I mounted my switch on the driver's side of the center console, just to the left of the shifter on the side.
