Default Front drivers fender removal

Hello all,

I have a methanol leak and need to access my windsheild washer tank and replace it. I have Google searched how to remove the drivers side fender..not much came up. Does anyone know how to do this? Or post a link to a guide?

Thanks

It is not too difficult.

Remove the four screws (above air filter) for the bumper cover.

Pop the bumper cover up between hood and headlight to access the torx screw underneath it.

Remove all the screws down the length of the fender and under cowl.

Remove the wheel

Remove the front inner wheel section

Remove the 10mm nuts that secure the bumper cover to the fender.

Remove rhe rear inner fender well section. ( You may be able to see your problem just doing this part.)

Remove the screws on the bottom and one screw in the middle of the fender (Half way up from inside the fender well, use a flashlight.)

Then lift it off

You can swing the bottom of the fender out far enough to get to the pump

To get fender off:
There are torx bolts running along the top (at edge of hood). Remove these. There is one under the edge of the front bumper that is tough to get to

Remove plastic push pins that hold fender liner in place. There's also a 10mm bolt or two holding the rear plastic fender liner in. Remove those.

There's one 7mm bolt near the "vent" in the fender. Once you have the fender liner out you'll be able to get to it through the opening (if your head is in the wheel well, the bolt will be to your right, towards rear of car)

There's a 7mm bolt at the bottom of the fender. Remove this

There's two or three nuts where the front bumper and fender connect. Remove those (I think you have to remove a turn signal light to get to these. It will pop out from one side)

I think that's it. I would try just loosening things up and seeing if you can swing it out far enough to get access. I know Unreal installed his meth system this way.. so it's completely doable

You don't have to remove the fender completely. If you unbolt the rear and pull it out there is lots of room. Nice thing about plastic....LOL

Thanks for the quick responses guys. Very helpful. My car kept saying low washer fluid even after filling it. Eventually I noticed a meth puddle under where the washer tank is. Hoping it's the tank and not the pump...

Think I may have to remove it completely. Don't z06's have carbon fiber fenders? Would hate to break one of those... and I'm sure carbon fiber fenders are pretty cheap lol

First things to try.
Put on Jack stand.
Remove the wheel.
Remove the inner fender liner (behind the wheel) push pins and a few bolts under the car.
Because you don't have the wheel in the way, this will give you access to the washer reservoir. I'm not sure if you have enough room to remove the reservoir, but if not, then loosen the fender bolts and pry it out a bit at the bottom like the picture shows.

Good Luck
