Just put new tires on the rear of my '05 Z-51 and had the alignment done. I am getting the XXLF and XXRR reading along with the service the TPMS message. I have been searching the threads and have two questions, did the tire tech possibly not learn the sensors correctly and they will just need to be re-learned (I don't have a tool) and / or are the sensors going bad. I have had the car since new 55K miles. What is the life expediency of the sensors? I am questioning the life of the sensors because I would not expect an aliment to have any impact on the front two tires that were not replaced and I am not even sure that the tire tech tried to re-learn the sensors at all. Is 10+ years beyond the life of the sensor?
Rather than trying to diagnose what happened, I suggest you just get 4 new sensors and have them installed. Then you know all is good for another 7-10 years.
Be sure to get the rebuild kits with new o-rings and nuts too. They can be swapped without removing the tires, just break the bead on the side where the sensors are located.
I also guess I will need a re-learning tool. Anyone have suggestions? Can I get one at Auto Zone or do I need to get a better one at some specialty shop?

Any and every tire shop should have one. They're going to have to swap the sensors anyways, just let them handle it.
Lots of people on the forum have a TPMS tool...any number of them would be happy to re-program them for you if you are nearby. I would certainly try that before buying new ones. Too much of a coincidence that they both stopped working just at that time.
