I just got my 07 Z06 and it's completely stock, so I would like to put a few things on it. First, on my c5 z06 I had B&B bullet exhaust and it sounded great. I'd like an opinion on what the best sounding/loud exhaust is for the c6 Z06. I've been looking at the Borla ATAk, but i'd like some other opinions. Also, which CAI is the best to go with, and adds to the most power/efficiency? I plan to eventually go with the LG super pro long tubes, as these were the ones I had on my c5, and I was more than happy. Thanks!
I've got a Halltech CF102 on my car. A lot of guys are running Halltech CAI. I went with an Akrapovic exhaust on my car and it sounds fantastic, 125mm carbon fiber tips look great too. How much power are you looking to get?
The Vararam is generally considered the top performer as far as CAIs go. Some complain about the quality and fit & finish of the unit but even they concede it's probably the better performing unit out there. The large open filter intakes aren't doing anything but giving your engine hot air. The engine doesn't need more air, it needs cooler air. The Vararam accomplishes that. And living in AZ you don't have to concern yourself with the overhyped hydrolock issue.
As for exhaust, personally I would skip the catback for now and just do the LG headers. Headers combined with the Z's NPP has a great sound and will get you power as opposed to just noise. You can even buy the Mild to Wild switch so you can open and close the muffler baffles whenever you'd like. Or, just pull the fuse and keep them open all of the time. If you still want louder, you can purchase a catback system later.

Please recognize that best is generally an opinion and you know what opinions are like.
The quickest way to big power while retaining driveabilty is a centrifugal blower, headers, and a tune. All are easily reversible to stock and none require internal changes.
However, you may want to check the issues relating to the LS7 heads before you do anything else.
