Default battery tray removal

Anybody have info on removing the battery tray? I took the three bolts out of the tube in the middle of the tray and everything is still tight. I must be missing some fasteners somewhere and am hoping somebody here can help. The nut on the bottom of the tray has disappeared so I have to remove the tray to repair or replace it.

Been along time, but I think that there is an interference fit by design that is causing you issues. The round part is pressed in. It has been about 5 years but that is what I remember.

I replaced the tray in my 2007 with the Battery Tray 10268430 (small) 2005, 2008, 2009. Battery Tray 10352084 (large) 2006, 2007 was too big to accommodate the Optima Red Battery that is spec'd for my year. I also used the Optima puck to hold the battery down instead of the factory puck.

If memory serves, I believe there were 4 bolts in the center holding the tray on the post. I used a bit of WD-40 to remove the tray because it was stuck on the post.

Thanks guys. I think you gave me my answer. I did remove the bolts inside the post and the tray didn't budge so I didn't force it. Sounds like it is just a really tight fit. I will soak it a bit with WD40 and get it off of there.
Thanks again!
