Default battery

I need a new battery for my 05 vette battery now in it is not ac delco can anybody give me the model number or battery size for my car I know its AC DELCO and thats it.

Group 85 battery, can get most any place.

They changed to T5 in 2006 and to a group 86 in 2007. Any of those sizes will fit.

Be aware that 2005 was unique in that the terminals were opposite all other C6 years.

For 2005, the "positive" terminal is on the left as viewed from the front of the car.

That is a group 85. One the engineers that worked for me before I retired designed all three of those batteries listed about. They kept the DIN battery for the Z06 and other trunk applications becasue it had a vent port, the group 85 and 86 vented through the caps, so you could not put a vent tube on it to let the gas escape when the battery was charging.

AC DELCO PROFESSIONAL, 86PG P/N 88865256, 650 CCA 95RC more cold cranking amp's than original with posts oriented properly for an 05 car

While were on the subject I also am looking for a yellow top pvc valve and a Delco Freedom battery for my 1979 L82 for NCRS judging
