Does anyone have anything to say about PurolatorBOSS Oil Filters. I saw them at Advance and was thinking about trying one. They advertise 15,000 mile protection.

Never used that particular filter. Hopefully someone will come along soon. I just posted so you wouldn't feel ignored.

The Boss filters look good - I might try one next go around

Right now the only ones I go with are (in order):
Napa Platinum
K&N
Mobil 1

Not that other brands arent good, but I like the thicker casings and synthetic materials of the above.

EDIT:
I would not suggest leaving the filter on for 15k miles. Filters should be changed with every oil change, and oil changes should not be occurring at such high intervals.
Even if the oil doesnt wear down (like those 15k oils advertise), it still has carbon in it which over time helps build deposits.

I use either K&N or Mobil One myself.

IIRC Purolator gold filters were made by the same people that make the mobil 1 filter. So its possible this new boss filter will be fine. As long as you don't use fram. I use mobil 1, wix, or delco personally
