I searched and was surprised to see no threads on this shock (Ride Tech). I am the process of doing brakes and want to swap out my Z51 shocks with some type of upgrade. I really don't know what the best shock is for better performance, and just don't see the need for coil overs at this point.
I had narrowed it down to the JOC or Koni FSD, but now I see this shock at ECS. Real expensive, but was wondering if any one has experience with it?
AFE/Pfadt JOC shocks are non adjustable oem shocks with different valving
Ridetech are adjustable with a totally different design from oem
Forum Vendor Sam Strano (stranoparts.com) sells both types and can give you a lot of information on this topic.
Damn, already ordered a set from ECS. Checked out Strano Parts, didn't know they existed, they do seem to be more familiar with these shocks. I'll post a review when I'm done. Sounds like these are an inverted shock, and yes they are adjustable.
Im sure youll love those shocks, and yes they're rebound adjustable: the ***** are on the top of the shock rod for the fronts and on the side of the upper mount for the rears:

Thanks man, and you are right on the adjustability, couldn't see the ***** on the first picture I looked at. These seem to be unknown on CF, which is strange to me, sounds like they are awesome. Everyone goes with Bilsteins, Koni, or JOC. Can't wait to try them out.
Always amazing that you can take a pretty awesome car and make it even better. Got my RideTechs, JOC Sways, DBA & Hawk pads on over the weekend. Took most of the day as I took a lot of breaks to do Easter stuff.
Initial impression is this set up is pretty awesome. Initial turn in response is greatly improved and the car lays MUCH flatter into, and through each corner. It responds instantly to steering inputs which one would also expect with a much stiffer front bar. I set the rear sway bar to the recommended middle position and will probably keep it there. I haven't push it hard enough yet to determine the level of understeer/oversteer, but it is much more confident on acceleration through and out of the corner.
I am super impressed with these shocks and started with the highest, i.e. softest setting. They are much less harsh than the Z51 shocks in this setting as expected. What was unexpected is the lack of nervousness over bumps through corners even in the softest setting. The car remains well planted and flat with no bumpsteer/kickout through the corner. I bumped them up one setting firmer, and while the firmness increase could be felt, they are still not as harsh as the Z51. I will probably leave it here for awhile until I can push the car a little more.
Overall, 2 thumbs up
Also the DBA/Hawk combo has better initial bite than OEM, but I'm still breaking them in.
