Z06 / GS 4.10 Gear Availability?
I was curious, does anyone make just the 4.10 Gears for a Z06/Grand Sport? I have a local installer that is good at doing a gear swap in Corvettes, but not sure we can get the gears. Anyone have any suggestions?
My other option is just watching the classifieds for a used RPM differential for the Z06/GS with 4.10's already in it... so if anyone happens to have one of those available I'm all ears :-).
Thanks!

That is what I did.
Their gear prices are competitive. I shopped when I bought mine and they were the same price as others.

Ah, I assume you don't have Z06. Traction would become a serious issue with 4.10 gears. I have the factory 3.42's and I can barely hook in 2nd and sometimes the back ends gets lose in 3rd. 4.10's would make my Z06 useless until 4th gear.
Anyhow, thanks for answering my question.
Best option is to go with a complete differential rebuild. Just swap diff's.
RPM is one and another is the old DTE which is now Hoosier. Both are sponsors.
I went with DTE stage 2 6 years ago and worry free. 4:10's mated to the LS3.
Transforms the driving experience.
I was at 422 both rwhp and tq, just 20-25 shy of the Z06 stock power and with proper tires traction was not a concern.
Popping the clutch is idiotic and will cause tire spin though.

You can get various upgrades such as 300M shafts, Eaton center section, etc.
Both RPM Transmissions and RKT56 can provide this service.

We have a RPM level 3 diff (with 2,500 miles) with 4.10's for sale. It will have new set of 4.10's with 30 spline. PM me for details.

Talked to Rick yesterday, great to talk to and yep sounds like he really knows his stuff. Can't wait to get my "new" Dif in. :-)
Sorry, but another question, is there a good "how to" in replacing the differential on a Grand Sport / Z06? At this point I will have someone who is much much more knowledgeable than me help put it in, but I do like to have an idea beforehand of what the steps are to do it. I've been trying to search, but didn't come across a great write up.
Thanks,
Michael

My recondition case with new parts as needed and upgrades including carbon clutch packs and redesigned oiling system with cold treated ring and pinion gears and hardened output shafts was $1895 some 6 years ago. That was not including labor for removal or install.
I recall the whole bill was $2400 installed.
Stage 2 street from the old DTE Engineering now Hoosier.
Basically a new diff and the case is gone over for cracks etc as is any other component not upgraded looking for wear.
